Firstly we researched different music magazines and saw how the adverts were presented in the magazines. These were NME, Kerrang and Top of the pops. In NME the adverts were smaller and usually shared the page with other things, would usually be placed along the bottom or be a page were they would be placed. There weren't any full page adverts in the magazine. In kerrang they used the similar layout style to NME being the adverts sharing the pages of other content, in the magazine. Whereas in Top of the pops there were very few advets but they were full page ones.
The main point of this task was to see which magazine would be best for us to promote our music video. The best one to use would be NME i think due to the same genre of music are promoted in this magazine, which means the people who are intrested in the music would purchase the magazine and see the adverts for our artist in there.
Our album covers and promo adverts will all be seperate but will still have the same continuity throughout our work, so it's clear that they are still promoting the same artist and song.
Started researching some promo adverts and covers that have continuity in them, such as the album cover and single covers being different but having aspects that show its the same artist.

The album cover and single cover are completely different but have the same style as eachother. Which is what we want to achieve with each our our covers and magazine adverts. Above are the covers for the album ‘Lungs’ the single ‘Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up)’ and the EP ‘A Lot of Love. A Lot of Blood’. All of which have the artist as the main image taking up most of the cover, with the title and artists names featured smaller either at the top of the covers or at the bottom, not interfering with the main image.
